AVENGERS ENDGAME

AVENGERS ENDGAME: Marvel's Biggest Gem Yet!!!

Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers; Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.

Avengers Endgame has to be Marvel's most unique movie in history. The emotional roller coaster is one element that has been missing from most of the MCU movies and Endgame just delivered a masterpiece. The concept of the movie, even though quite basic, allowed the Russo brothers the free reign to be creative with the conflict, and it's resolution. The plot of the movie is pretty two-folds with the first part of the movie dealing with the aftermath of Thano's action, renewed hope and shattered hopes, while the second part of the movie explored the heroes' play to bring back everyone that was lost.
The first 25 minutes will have viewers at a loss, and that was pretty good. It allowed a lot more attention to be paid to detailing of the movie, most especially if where you thought the conflict element was had been plugged. This also set the stage for the writer to get the audience emotionally invested, by portraying our heroes in lights never before seen, all of which was allowed to brew in an emotional cauldron until served in a dish teeming with heartbreaking farewells and bone jarring and adrenaline pumping action scenes.
One thing most viewers have however noticed is the fact that for a movie with a length nearly 3 hours long, the movie did not have too many fight scenes and it wasted the character of Carol Danvers( Captain Marvel). This is quite true,  but the fact that the movie did not have as much action scenes as we thought it'd have is what makes the movie so unique and exceptional. The Russo brothers did not want to tell a story of blinding rage, senseless violence or one teeming with hero complex. The brothers chose to tell a tale of humanity, loss, compassion, hope and resilience. The movie explored the basic tenets of what makes a hero; the ability to keep fighting to protect even in the face of huge odds, to defy loss and to strive to defeat evil whatever it takes. This is what makes the loss in this movie all the more emotionally draining than we had with the prequel. It was sad, it was devastating and the entire cinema hall heaved a collective heartbreaking sigh at the end credits.

On the second phase of that, Carol Danvers was wore like a cameo character. Her appearance in this movie contrary to what was teased, is nothing more than her official entry into the MCU. The stand alone movie before Avengers did not serve to endear her to fans of Marvel, and this movie did her no favours either. With or without her contribution, the movie won't have ended any differently, and we are hard pressed to call this one a wasted effort by the Russos. Things could have been done more differently to give a much desired result, or a result akin to what was expected. Her inclusion in this movie served only to create one or two euphoric moments, one of which was her leading an all female Avengers defence corps( euphoric nonetheless even though wasted), and the second, albeit her most important, was her preventing Thanos from utilising the gauntlet, period! Captain Marvel was no one's savior, she was more like an absentee champion.
Let's see about the conflict element itself. Everyone likes a conflict that is diversified. We love complicated conflicts and we like an euphoric end to such conflicts. Everything that the MCU had strived for from its very first entry came to a head in this movie. The conflict element presented a quagmire that required a little bit of a trip down memory lane, a little appreciation of the history of the MCU, and an appreciation of what each movie in the franchise had to offer but which were not highlighted in the initial outings.
Due to the choice adopted to resolve the principal problem element, at one stage during the 2nd part of the film, there were multiple conflicts confronting the heroes, and one of them solidified to create the final principal and Inevitable conflict to resolve all conflicts. A past that became the present, the concept of time travel redefined, the known consequences destroyed and reconstructed gave birth to the main conflict, and the resilience of humanity resolved it. There is obviously no better way to tell a superhero story than this.

This was the biggest challenge or conflict to ever confront the Avengers, and it makes viewers appreciate all the more the sentence "whatever it takes". There was basically no line the heroes were not willing to cross, and there was no sacrifice that was too big, even one that would cost a life.
In a nutshell, this is not only the most anticipated, the biggest and most expensive movie in all of MCU history, it also is the most complete movie in the franchise. It had the perfect balance, from adequate high octane action, to a well balanced plot, thrills and suspense to well placed tragic elements within the movie's fabric. Due to the plot structure of the movie, we hope you all will make do and see this movie as soon as possible to avoid it being spoiled for you with even the slightest slip of the tongue.
