The Grinch: A Good Holiday Movie!
The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. His main source of aggravation comes during Christmastime when his neighbors in Whoville celebrate the holidays with a bang. When the Whos decide to make Christmas bigger and brighter, the disgruntled Grinch realizes there is one way to gain peace and quiet. With help from Max, the green grump hatches a scheme to pose as Santa Claus, steal Christmas and silence the Whos' holiday cheer once and for all.
The Grinch is a good movie for its simplicity, good dialogues and overall a deceptively good animation. The animation is quite easy on the eye and totally missing those animating styles that stand out too distinctly, and viewers quite like those.
The story telling itself is a masterpiece, the use of 3rd person narrative made it even more awe inspiring. We couldn't have asked for a better storytelling for this awesome concept.
The concept itself is a brilliant one, and the character development is spot on. The character of the Grinch was presented to viewers first before he was developed appropriately, and that is what made the character even more relatable and the conflict more compelling. That being said, the plot theme was solidly developed from a wonderful idea, while the conflict grew out of the plot to be as compelling as you would expect of a movie for young audiences and the young adults.
The conflict is immersive and compelling because the conflict situation itself is capable of being resolved in one of two ways, but predictably, the writers chose the one with the more moral message, which is very good being a holiday movie. Though we do agree that resolving the movie in a different way would have earned it more positive reviews for its creativity and risks. Once again the conflict is compelling because it creates a situation where the antagonist thinks what he is doing is right, and therefore does not think this is villainy. It's hilarious, but it's taken to be serious in the context in which it is presented. It's brilliant!
Again, the entire performance of the movie was good, the pacing of the movie was brilliant, and it's delivery of humour perfectly timed. The emotions woven into the fabrics of the movie, coupled with the humour means the movie delivers change of mood with incredibly quick pace leaving the audience with no time to be bored or displeased. This is a very good animated movie, perhaps one of the best Dr. Seuss themed movies.

In all, a good movie worth the watch, perhaps not cinema worthy, but certainly worth your time. If you have the time, kindly pick this one up and see it, you won't be disappointed at all.
We must also mention that Pharrell did a very good job as the 3rd person narrator. I am and will always be a fan of a properly utilised 3rd person narrative. It has never failed a movie, and here it delivered amazing results again.
It is again a movie that not only captured the hearts of the audience but has also been a huge financial success. With a budget of just over 75 million USD, this movie made a bumper box office mojo of 509.8 Million USD. What is more successful than that?
