A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS SEASON 3

A Series Of Unfortunate Events: A Beautiful Finale!!!

The 3rd and final season of the show is as good as the entire series has been if not even better. Whereas the 2nd season was characterised by the rise to brutality of the villainous Count Olaf, the 3rd season carefully documented his fall from super villainy to his sad demise... while also at the same time depicting him as human one final time.
As is usual with the previous two seasons, the 3rd season was resplendent with rich acting, creatively beautiful on screen performance and above all amazing story telling. In fact one may even venture to say that the 3rd season did not have a very solid story, most of it having been told in the first two seasons, however the 3rd person narrative, again employed to perfection, and the story telling brilliance made this worth the watch, artistic and worth every minute spent on it.
The decision to build the back stories of most of the characters, side by side with the main story was incredible. It allowed time for these characters to finally gain foothold in the show, rather than seem like true volunteers who were everywhere they were not supposed to be. The reveal of the big Mystery behind the Sugar bowl, albeit kind of anti-climactic was a little bit exciting.

The way the story was brought together from the past and made to converge in the present is masterful. It made everything make sense in the end, the sad events were not all for naught and good triumphed over evil one more time. We however find it quite curious that two major characters vanished in unexplained circumstances. The Man With No Hair and The Woman With Hair seemed at first to have a very important role to play right at the commencement of the season, but disappointingly they didn't. We feel that aspect could have been explored better with very good results even.
Esme Squalor and Count Olaf had chemistry and that made season 2 so rivetting to watch, add Carmelita Spats to that dynamic and you have a gem of a trio.
The final season is as good as the the rest and may even go better with some points depending on what you are after. The scripting is Genius, the story telling is amazing, dialogue is phenomenal, character performance is top notch and what's more, conflict resolution was built up in astonishing fashion and concluded at the very summit without any drop in rhythm or pace.

You should surely pick up this series finale and have a good time with it. If you haven't seen the show at all, please dally no more, it's one of the best dark comedy shows out there, and certainly among the top echelons of tv adaptations of novels. It's that impressive.
