 Finally season one has ended and what a season it was, just for those who didn't read the first review when the first season just started lets do a quick recap of what this series is all about.
What will you do for love, this is literally the theme of this series, a young book store manager meets a young aspiring writer and he falls in love or moreso becomes obsessed with her,  he literally goes to any length to make her his removing any obstacle in his way including people.
Was I hyped after I saw the trailer of this series yes I was,  after I watched the first season did it leave up to it,  well yes it did.
Penn badgeley as Joe was the first thing I loved, he is one actor I like for certain type of roles and he suited this very role of the nerdish psycho down to the letter.
You is a unique series wherein you are certain to almost agree with the villian and see his reasons for doing whatever he did, you are really drawn into his world and you see his mindset and line of thought, the reason behind his actions and having been sucked deep into his world you find yourself agreeing with his actions.

Again the style of using the second person narrative was quite brilliant and it was more so because there were instances where it was not required and it was not certainly not employed at all.
Also the thoughts in Joe's head were not just random stuff that were not put into great use rather every single thought of his that we heard out loud was acted upon and was used as a reason for the scene that we got immediately or afterwards.
The series again was a great blend of romance, sex, intrigue,drama,suspense,love,tragedy in short the series had it all. It had everything you could have wanted from a show.

Now moving unto the plot and character development, it was great to watch and see the story unfold at its own pace and the characters come more into life as the show advanced, there was no rush at all, it just went smoothly almost effortlessly ,it could not have gone better than this.
The casting of the show was great and you could not just help but notice that each character was meant for their role.
 Can I now talk about the last episode and how much I can't wait for season two because of how the show ended and thus the endless possibilities that the second season is going to have to play with.
The dialogues were also great but that was expeected as the script was top knotch.
Coming to the negatives I honestly can't think of one to talk about and that really talks more about how good the series was, except may be the death of beck I honestly did not see that coming.
So all in all it was a great first season, let's hope for a better sequel.
