DC Titans

Finally the first season of Titans is over and it was okay, not spectacular but it was solid and quite enjoyable.
Young heroes from around the DC universe finally come of age and into their own in this gritty take on the comic series teen Titans. Led by dick Grayson as Robin albeit the former Robin who left the side of Bruce Wayne after not liking who he was becoming under the wings of the batman, more emphasis will be made on this point later on.
So let's get down to the show itself, I am really at a limbo here on one hand I loved Titans on the other hand I did not like Titans but let's just look at what they got right and what they got wrong.
Firstly the fight scenes were wonderful OMG, they were great, the shots were clean and up close you could literally feel all the hits and it was damn brutal what a way to go, the fight scenes had it all from blood, stunts, great choreographed sequences ,and great all round death.
Then we move on to the characters and am talking about the non Titan characters which include  Jason Todd the new Robin, doom patrol, Donna Troy former sidekick to Wonder Woman, hawk and dove,  it's really funny that I enjoyed this characters or atleast all the scenes involving this characters more than the actual Titan members themselves what an irony. I loved Jason Todd especially as he was gotten spot on he is an action first ,ask question later guy and this showed in the few scenes he actually took part in.
The customes were both a hit and a miss, when it came down to the custome and props of Robin, hawk, dove, all members of doom patrol they were spot on but what the hell was that thing they had batman wearing and also whoever came up with the idea that star fire should dress like a hooker does not deserve a job in any thing that relates to comics.

 The plot of the show is really simple though and it's never bad to have a simple plot to actually play around with, Robin and raven get the most time and this is not really a surprise in itself as they are the main characters of the first season, out of all the characters the one with the least arch is beast boy and this is quite sad because I did enjoy seeing him whenever he was on air especially when he appeared with the members of doom patrol I do hope that we see more from him in the second season. All in all the show progresses at a good pace and it literally picks up towards the end and we are left at a cliff hanger at the end of the first season.

And yes there was very little to no use of cgi and this is a massive improvement from DC.
Now moving unto the things I did not like in the show.
The dark theme, it's almost become synonymous with DC universe that their shows and movie are always dark but Titans is an adaptation of teen Titans and that is quite a fun and humorous themed series, so I really didn't see the need for the show Titans to be so dark, it would do with a dose of laughter and fun.
The portrayal of dick Grayson as Robin,  he left his role as Robin because he felt that batman was too violent and leaned towards the dark side way too much, he was always portrayed as being the opposite of Bruce Wayne , so it was quite perplexing as to why he was made to be exactly what batman was I. E a very violent character who liked to keep people at arm's length. And it was more annoying because already we have Jason Todd the new Robin featuring in the show already and it made no sense to have two robins who are exactly the same type of personality.

Hmm so finally I did enjoy Titans and I will take in back for season two and recommend this show for everyone. It's a solid 6.5/10 from us here at fca.
There will be a spin off from Titans and it will be airing sometime in 2019 and I am talking about doom patrol ,even though I am also hoping that dove and arrow get their own show also.
