ADESUA ETOMI AS MARVEL SUPERHEROINE?

It is probably long overdue to say that the cravings by Africa for a true born and bred African Super heroine has not been met satisfactorily by Hollywood which brings us to the current issue.
Prior to the release of Black panther,it was popular news that our craving would finally be answered in a feature that would likely have a Genevieve Nnaji and Funke Akindele break the Hollywood jinx just as Africa's very own Lupita N'yongo did. Little did we know that Hollywood had their very own plan with had the likes of Letitia wright and Angela Bassett in it. *No beefs please*

It is no longer news that Marvel has in the pipeline a Marvel superheroine coveted  by Nigeria and for Nigerians known by the name IDIE OKONKWO and XMEN code-named as OYA with powers of TEMPERATURE CONTROL. Reports getting to us say a movie on her is in the works which is ample reason for us to let our displeasure known if a true and homegrown Nigerian isn't picked. It is our fair opinion that we have capable homegrown actresses to kill this role with acting of international standards,of which chief amongst the nominees is ADESUA ETOMI.

In a recent poll carried out by movie review and rating company FCA cinemarantz,Adesua Etomi won with a a 73% percent win over actresses such as Omoni Oboli,Ini Edo,Chika ike, tonto dikeh amongst many others.
Movies abound that tell of the UK trained acting prowess which needs not be overflogged. It is in the same vein that fans, especially Nigerian fans consider that it Would be a travesty to ignore our homegrown genius and get a TOKUNBO who knows nothing about our culture to depict our culture to the world. A synopsis on the movie should be ample reason for the Nigerian agitation.

SYNOPSIS.
Idie is a fourteen-year-old girl from Cross River State, Nigeria when her powers manifest. The first manifestation of her powers causes her village to burn down, and when she starts to freeze things as well, she is considered by the locals to be a witch.[3] By the time Storm and Hope arrive, Idie's family and friends have been killed. Hope stabilizes Idie's powers, and Idie uses her new abilities to drive away the paramilitary group that was attempting to kill her.[3]

CONCLUSION
As Nigerians who desire the best for our culture,it is our hope that OYA is depicted by a homegrown actress as that is the pride we have as a nation just as Kenya has with Lupita.
