BATMAN: HUSH

                                           Batman: Hush; Another DC Miss!!

A mysterious criminal known as Hush is determined to destroy both the crime-fighting career and personal life of Batman, which has already been complicated by a relationship with Catwoman.
Batman Hush had to be arguably the most talked about and most anticipated DC Animated Movie of 2019, and it's premiere slot for 20th July was just perfect. Allowing viewers and fans alike to give it the attention it required over the weekends, but that may not even be the case anymore, as it is already becoming apparent that viewers are left with even too much time to be negative about the movie.
That said, we think the major problem with them movie was it's lack of creativity. It was basically a straight-to-screen adaptation of the comic and that was basically very ill-advised on a whole lot of levels. For one, it is a totally different ball game when you compare motion picture with reading comics. There was no way a straight to screen adaptation was going to have enough content to wow the audience, and that was very apparent in the movie. For instance, the movie had a solid premise, but the storyline lacked depth, it lacked proper character development and the plot/ conflict elements were both really shallow. It immediately became expected when the time slot for the movie was capped at one hour, 25 minutes. It's shoddy production, it's disastrous script writing and over all, it's abysmal rendition of one of the great batman stories.

One thing that was clearly evident was the insecurity of the production team in being creative. The idea was to stick to the source content, and while we appreciate the decision to do that, a little creativity would not have hurt. It's one area that Marvel Studios would forever hold an advantage over DC, daring to take risks for the sake of creativity, and it usually pays. In the event that Justin Copland and DC creative had decided to be a little creative, Bane would not have been made to look like a wuss, Joker wong be anyone's pawn, and Ivy would not be anybody's lapdog. Everything that Hush/The Riddler did needed to have a story for it to be relatable, and every reason adduced for the Super villains' actions had to be given perspective and relativity by a sweet narrative, no matter how short they may be.
Well, in our opinion, it was not all doom and gloom. Whereas DC once again failed to tell a really convincing story, they did however succeed in putting out  really good animation. The style is continuing the recent shift towards a deeper cgi imaging, and the motion engine is quite smooth and really works with the animation style. This also brings us to the combat and fight scenes. It's a huge success, and there were lots of it in this movie. The new generation DC TV Series have decided to pay much attention to every blow, kick and the block, and it's very exciting to see the animated pieces heading in the same direction. It allowed us the viewers to really appreciate the combat scenes. We say a big kudos to the fight simulation team and the combat instructors as well as the tech guys for the smoothness of the animation engine. Really good work.
But that's about as good as it gets. Due to the lack of depth, we really did not appreciate the work of the scripting and editing teams. The way the movie was structured only allowed the combat/ simulation teams to be appreciated. In another really disappointing realisation, the conflict was pretty weak due to the lack of depth of the story/ plot. Really, the movie is a huge let down for fans who really expected a lot from this movie.
If we were being honest, it's an exciting watch for the fights, but it's a really quick trip between the fast paced action and an Underwhelming conclusion. Yes it has fun fights, but nothing about the story is to be excited about.
