The resident

Another day back with another series to talk about, today am looking at a medical drama popularly known as the Resident I was not going to talk about this TV shows till I was sure of the release date of season two with all the cancellations of a lot of my favorite shows. And so yes season two of the resident starts airing on 24th of September 2018 and since we have gotten that out of the way lets get down to it.
Our series runs almost the entirety of its plot around the happenings of the doctors at chastain park memorial hospital where dr Conrad Hawkins works, he is one of the best doctors there and e happens to be quite charming and arrogant, he likes to take an unconventional approach whenever possible and he beliefs it's his personal duty to shatter the romantic illusions of the first year residents, well truth is that he is still just a third year Resident. First year residents dr Devan pravesh is an innocent idealist who leans on his finely tuned moral compass but with Conrad help he begins to realise that the practice of medicine is a business like any other and the aim is to make profit with Less than angelic patients and fallible doctors.
I have seen a lot of medical series and am still seeing like Four currently but One certain thing almost all of them have in common they are always far from reality of what medical practice is but like my friend asked if you want reality go to an actual clinic and record them.
Talking about the resident I got hooked after the first episode and that's saying alot. The resident is a drama in the literal sense of it but more than that it's a medical drama that tries it's best to actually focus on the human element of the medical world which are the doctors, nurses, hospital staffs, and patients and yes also romance incase you were wondering there were quite some good making out session in the show.
The plot of the show is Simple yet quite complicated, we are made to see the inner workings of the clinic, the politics involved, the fact that modern day medical practice is just about making money rather than saving lives, this particular topic comes up a lot throughout the season one of the show.
Then we see the doctors first and foremost as human beings before seeing them as doctors, Conrad Hawkins is a dare devil and it reflects on his life as a doctor with his unorthodox styles, while Devan pravesh is an idealist and a family man and this reflects on the way he treats his patients and why cases gets personal with him and our stunning dr. Okafor who hates emotion and is quite blunt until love strikes later towards the end the seasons. Generally we are made to realise that who we are as individuals determines who we are as professionals though this is not always the case but it's just the way it was made to be In the resident.
The resident season one had everything we would want in a medical drama from intrigue, drama, suspense, action, betrayal, romance, pain, death, and every other thing in between.
The series literally had an all star cast and boy did they deliver yes they did.  You really can't pick out one character and say this person gave a sub par performance in the show.
Fox network really got a good series on their hands let them not screw it up. we are eagerly anticipating season two not just because of where season one ended well literally cause of where and how it ended leaving us asking what next. Thanks for reading
