LUCIFER

Well here we go "Lucifer" let's just do a quick recap of the storyline and what the series generally entails.
Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike dringenberg, this series follows Lucifer,  the original fallen angel who was thrown down from heaven, he has suddenly become dissatisfied with his life in hell.  After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles,  Lucifer indulges in his favourite past times (women, drinks and song).  Until a murder takes place outside the front of his upscale night club,  for the first time in billions of years,  the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer's soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another suprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe,  who appears to possesses an inherent goodness-unlike the worst of humanity to which he is accustomed suddenly Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul.
Since we are now familiar with the general plot, lets Now go into details about what I like and I don't like about this series.
First and foremost it's Now become too common a person totally detached from the police force ends up after the first two or three episodes of a series starts helping the police or crime unit to solve crimes which I still don't understand we saw it happen in bones,  white-collar, forever I could go on and on I hope we get it by now. In real life this never happens and we are tired of it being fosted down our throat like we have to swallow it without any complain it's becoming tiring in most of the procedural shows around like we know it's fantasy but then a hinge or touch of reality is never a bad thing.
Now I want to focus on the story itself on its own merit,  when I heard the name of the show Lucifer I was intrigued and interested,  I really hoped for a show that will blow my mind away cause there was and still remains a whole lot of untapped potential here and I still hope that the creative writers and directors of this series can maximize the full potential of the series.
The show just focused on a part of Lucifer like we don't really get to appreciate the character Lucifer One of the most popular names in human history wow and all we are made to see is a goofy, weird, sarcastic and often times quite annoying dude who is simply a person experiencing human emotions for the first time. I got tired along the line the same boring process every single episode an unsolved murder which they always end up solving it becomes stale at a certain stage like really I think i literally skipped majority of season two cause I would tell exactly what was going to happen and how it would happen.
The part of Lucifer the legend and stories about him are totally ignored,  the angelic and supernatural part of the story,  season two was really interesting when they focused on the supernatural even though it was short lived like ratings went up and I was suprised they did not push it further.
The same happened in season three the final episode garnered the most views and online streaming went up and I guess it also influenced Netflix in picking up season four of the series.
Well to just sum up my take on lucifer season one was quite boring same could be said for season two except for few episodes that got us intrigued and filled with suspense.
Now season three started off badly but then it ended up on a great note and left us asking for more.
I was quite sad when I heard that it was cancelled I really wanted to curse and scream yes I wanted to cause for the first time I was sold on the character Lucifer the  immortal fallen angel and damn that fight scene was awesome what were they doing since season one,  then a week or two later imagine when I saw a tweet about Netflix picking up season four I danced and then I stopped reminding myself not to get my hopes too high on what to expect.
Now getting to it that is what do I expect from season four I honestly hope for fast paced beginning to the series filled with action, intrigue ,suspense and well a little romance without clothes yes I said it without clothes.
I won't waste time on the acting bumper of the characters simply put the few that did not play their roles well were not actually helped by the script they were given in the series.
But then Tom Ellis I really have to give him kudos for his role in this show including that Danish accent of his, his acting was just okay and played his role to the latter.
Honorable mentions to Aimee Garcia the talkative CSI she made the series fun especially on those her body hugging gowns.
The series has the following actors
Lauren German as Chloe decker
Tom Ellis as Lucifer
Lesley annbrandt as mazikeen
Tom welling as Marcus pierce
D. B Woodside as amenadiel
Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez
Rachael Harris as Linda Martin
Kevin Alejandro as Dan
Tricia helfer as Charlotte
Kevin Rankin as Malcolm graham.
This was formerly a fox original series but it is now a Netflix original series and I hope it remains so. Thanks for reading let's hear your opinion in the comment sections.
