LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS

Love Death + Robots: A Winner From Netflix!!

This collection of animated short stories spans several genres, including science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy. World-class animation creators bring captivating stories to life in the form of a unique and visceral viewing experience. The animated anthology series includes tales that explore alternate histories, life for robots in a post-apocalyptic city and a plot for world domination by super-intelligent yogurt.

2019 has been an off and on year for Netflix so far, with some good tvshows and some very poor original movies, but with the entry of Love Death and Robots, it seems as though Netflix have finally made the breakthrough they had been after all year long. This is definitely the best Netflix content for 2019 and it's easy to spot why.
The simplicity with which each story is told is just brilliant, the short length of each feature is what dreams are made of( or nightmares), it's ability to create, and tell a story within 15-17 minutes while leaving the viewer marveled, stunned and asking for more is quite impressive. Netflix creative definitely pulled out one of the most daring projects ever, by not only assembling the very best of writers and producers, but have as well found the right animators for each of the 18 stories making up the first season.
Episode 1 of the show sold the entire concept to the viewers, the animating was crisp and the story was mature. But that is nothing compared to the storytelling, and the fight scenes. From episode 1, everything came together and functioned like a well oiled machine.

It's not always that you see an anthology show that rakes in huge viewership and positive reviews, but this does the exact thing described. The pacing and the ability to stick to theme was what defined the first season. Short, beautiful, precise!
Due to the fact that the show basically consists of 18 episodes that told different stories, it will be practically impossible for us here to review the show per episode without screwing up your viewing delight. But we must commend some very intriguing stories in the series such as; 'when the yoghurt took over, "Lucky 13" and "the Good hunt". The season finale " secret wars" could have formed the basis upon which an award winning animated show is based upon, that tells you just how good this series is.
From us here at FCA, it's a rather gargantuan thumbs up to Netflix creative, the directors, producers and the writers as well as the animators who have served us with this delightful show complete with action, love, death and Robots. We could not have asked for better and we certainly won't be letting any of our viewers miss this monster of a show. Tim Miller has created magic and deserves to know it!
