JUST IN: A PACK OF WOLVES- ready to devour.

This is a whole new level of the blending of brains and brawn culminating in the perfect execution of a Masterpiece. Ladies & Gents, Boys and Girls and My fellow Movie Addicts, I present to you  DEN OF THIEVES (2018);

Set in Los Angeles, described as the "Bank Robbery Capital of the World".
Ray Merrimen(Pablo Schreiber) along with his gang of outlaws and convicts device an elaborate plan to rob the Los Angeles branch of the  Federal Reserve of millions of dollars which have been marked for shredding at the end of business for the day. This means cash running into millions nobody is gonna be looking for. But of course this effectively places them on the map of "Major Crimes Unit", a band of gangster Cops headed by Sheriff "Big Nick" O'Brien (Gerard Butler).
The Movie opens up with a heavy heated action scene with guns flaring (Autos, semiautos & shi...), a classic depiction of Police and Robbers shootout and also basically ends in the same manner(some critics say the movie is oddly similar to the 1995 "HEAT", a carbon copy even, others dare opine).

Let's delve into the rating of the movie then,
The Cast; the character selection and build up is dope with characters fitting and executing their roles near perfectly and with due conviction.
Scenes; the genre is basically action & as expected the movie duly delivers, with badass action scenes executed with military surgical precision(as one would expect of a gang consisting of ex-servicemen).
Suspense & Thriller; They had us, boy they had us, when we were led to believe Merrimen was the brains behind the entire operation as against Donnie Wilson(O'Shea Jackson jr) "The Driver", turns out Donnie was the brains & sole beneficiary as the entire team...lemme stop here to avoid spoilers. Then again, there's the diversion created with the bank robbery/hostage saga, a classic misdirect which seemed to work...for a while though.
Duration; movie is 20+ mins too long.
The Plot; It's a classic Cops and Robbers movie, an okay script asides the fact that it lacks a lil bit of originality. All in all it's a good watch.
Director: Christian Gudegast
Producers: Gerard Butler, Tucker Tooley, Mark Canton, Alan Siegel
Budget: 30 million USD
Made about 80.5 million USD or thereabout in Box Office.
Other Cast: 50 Cent as Enson Levoux, Evan Jones as "Bosco", Mo MacRae as "Gus" Henderson...
I would rate the movie a solid 7.5/10 definitely a time well spent, y'all should see the movie sometime, can't believe I had the movie for almost 3 months and didn't.
