ANNIHILATION
I will do Netflix the Discourtesy of starting off this blog with Annihilation.
A disaster of a movie. For the very first time in a long while, Netflix disappointed with their delivery.
For a movie bordering on the supernatural, sci-fi horror genre, one would have expected Netflix to make for a compelling conflict. However they got it all wrong with the show when they decided it was best to send a group of 5 women into the unknown to resolve the supposed conflict.
Hey! Need I tell you that these 5 women are untrained for this venture?
It was therefore no surprise as to how the movie ended. Fans are however disappointed at the howler Netflix just made.
For me, the movie had a solid plot, good character ensemble, below par dialogues but stunning visual content. Maybe they could have done a short character development before introducing the conflict, and probably make the conflict resolution much less obvious.
All in all, a 6.5/10 from me. What do you think?
