Heart of a Lio is a short film by gatorade telling the spectacular tale of arguably the greatest player of his generation, Lionel Messi. It explores and presents the rise of a talented, Gifted and exceptional young lad, playing his football in his native Argentina.
A gift that was nearly denied the world by medical complications. It further chronicles the renewed hope of a boy, and his transition into a fine player on his way to being arguably the best player of his era.
Heart of a Lio though not a movie or a tvshow is deserving of attention, in just a matter of minutes the short film delivers enough emotional content to get the audience to relate to the incredible story of man we know as Lionel Messi. With average 3D animating works by gatorade, it effectively passes the message with minimal costs to appeal to a wide range of audience.
The short film virtually captures every highlight of a decorated career, the ups and the downs, and an amazing depiction of the miss of the century, his near post miss against Germany in the 2014 world cup final.
Two scenes that will undoubtedly capture the hearts of viewers, and fans alike is the depiction of a dejected and forlorn Young Lionel Messi, devastated by news of his condition,the end of a career yet to begin,and the lifting and encouraging presence of an adult Lionel Messi spurring the young lad to great achievements. Need I mention a reverse of roles? A forlorn and dejected adult Lionel Messi, ready to give up on football after failing on the grandest stage with his country not once, not twice...... The presence of mind of a young Lionel Messi to spur the legend to achieve even more legendary feats.
All in all, baring the fact that it's not a movie properly so called, but the delivery and execution of ideas is just spot on. Certainly Lionel Messi deserved no less than he got!!!
